Eco-Corner
We at Harbour Jam aim for a waste-free environment and society. Team Harbour Jam has collaborated with local handicraft artists involved in pottery, acrylic work and different kinds of eco-products. We joined forces with them on a mission to use waste materials into their design and create eco-friendly products. Clay is one of the most important material in our pieces.
Our objective is to boost local economy and talent by providing them scope to nurture and grow. Our eco-products were showcased on 24-25th Dec at Harbour Jam Festival 2022.
We work with a group of local artisans, Mangola Terra-Cota art Centre at Raidighi, led by Dhananjay Pal and Bijay Pal. We procure products from them and work with these further.

We are committed to recycle and reuse. We are collaborating with local house holds who has sewing machines and basic sewing gadgets. We are collecting used fabrics like jeans, cottons, canvas from our locality and distributing them to respective persons for designing and stitching. They are converting all these used fabrics into small, medium and large bags.
Harbour Jam is always searching for regional independent artists to collaborate with. In our community we already have our in-house artists who are working for this project. We are collecting clay products from regional artists and then the products are being transformed into decorative art pieces by our in-house artists. The goal is to work, grow together and reach out to a larger community of consumers.
Pendants and Toys are the results of a workshop session (PLAY with CLAY) organized by Harbour Jam in association with Panchabhuta led by Sajidul Islam, a painter and ceramic artist from Diamond Harbour. A two day workshop session led us to these beautiful pieces, and were up for sale and display at our 'Eco-Corner Stall' in the 2022 festival. All the participants from the workshop collected their favorite piece as a token of love from the stall. The products were made of various types of clay collected from the river by the participants. Another major portion of clay was provided by 'Panchabhuta' to see the difference between types of clay and their final state after the firing session.
On display are some musical instruments made by our in house artist Chiranjit@Tota.
